Celebrate Holes Made by Man
and by Nature

The Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association is offering a most special hike on Saturday October 28, 1-4 PM. The walk to the Ober Hill Gorge and Old Homestead Cellar Hole will feature the newly acquired Brelsford property, which added almost 33 acres of conserved woodland to the northern end of the Windmill Ridge Reserve. This walk is a great way to be among the first to visit some of the especially interesting features of the property.

Starting at the Bemis Hill Road trailhead, the walk will proceed mostly downhill through rich mixed hardwoods to the long gorge, with its gurgling stream and charming waterfalls, continue on to the homestead complex with remains of stonewall paddocks and a barn, and then end by going north on the trail to the Route 35 trailhead area. Bring water, snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather, which can be chilly in late October. A car shuttle will be arranged to return participants to cars parked at the starting place on Bemis Hill Road, so pre-registration is a must by contacting Camilla Roberts at 802-869-1388 or camil@vermontel.net.
